Careers · Founding team

Help hotels keep every guest’s rhythm.

SOMA is a small team building the layer between the wearable a guest already wears and the hotel that hosts them. We are starting with wellness properties in Greece and building from Bali. We are looking for engineers and hospitality people who care about both halves of that sentence.

We are early. Some of these roles open as we grow, so applying now puts you first in line rather than into a long process. Every application is read by a founder.

How we work

Three things we will not compromise on.

Engineering

Build the layer.

3 roles

Founding Full-Stack Engineer

Bali or remote · Full-time Build the product end to end: the guest consent flow, the morning messages and the hotel’s view.

What you will do

  • Ship the consent and connection flow guests complete before arrival
  • Build the messaging layer that sends suggestions on WhatsApp and email, in each hotel’s voice
  • Build the simple view hotel teams use each morning
  • Own reliability and security from day one

You might be

  • Comfortable across a modern web stack, from database to interface
  • Someone who has shipped a product real customers use, ideally consumer or hospitality
  • Careful with personal data by habit, not by checklist

Integrations Engineer, Wearables and Hotel Systems

Bali or remote · Full-time Connect SOMA to the devices guests wear and the systems hotels run.

What you will do

  • Integrate wearable data sources such as Oura, WHOOP, Garmin and Google Health, always with explicit consent
  • Connect to property management, spa and booking systems
  • Design minimal data flows: summaries in, suggestions out
  • Keep integrations healthy as partner APIs change

You might be

  • Experienced with third-party APIs, OAuth and webhooks
  • Familiar with health or wearable data, or with hotel systems such as PMS and spa booking
  • Patient with messy real-world data

Data and Machine Learning Engineer, Morning Logic

Bali or remote · Full-time Turn a night of sleep and recovery into the one thing worth offering that morning.

What you will do

  • Build the logic that maps wearable summaries and passport preferences to suggestions
  • Measure what guests accept, ignore or decline, and learn from it
  • Keep raw numbers away from hotel staff by design
  • Work with hospitality colleagues so every suggestion is something a real team can deliver

You might be

  • Strong in data and applied machine learning, with good judgement about when simple rules win
  • Interested in sleep, recovery or behaviour science
  • Committed to privacy-preserving approaches
Hospitality

Make it feel like a good host noticed.

3 roles

Head of Hospitality Partnerships

Bali or Europe · Full-time Bring the right wellness properties into SOMA, and make them successful.

What you will do

  • Lead conversations with owners and general managers of wellness hotels and villas
  • Run founding pilots from first call to signed partnership
  • Turn pilot results into case studies other properties trust
  • Bring what properties need back into the product

You might be

  • From hotel operations, revenue or sales, ideally luxury or wellness
  • Trusted by owners and GMs, and comfortable talking numbers
  • Energised by a new category rather than a known playbook

Guest Experience and Wellness Lead

Bali or remote · Full-time Decide what a great hotel should offer, and say, on each kind of morning.

What you will do

  • Design the library of offers and gestures: treatments, rest, movement, food and timing
  • Own the voice of every guest message: say the benefit, never the reading
  • Pair every paid offer with a free gesture, so suggestions feel like hospitality, not sales
  • Shape the Wellness Passport questions and what hotels do with the answers

You might be

  • Experienced in spa, wellness or guest relations at high-end properties
  • A clear writer with an ear for tone
  • Someone who notices the small things guests never say out loud

Property Onboarding Lead

Greece and travel · Full-time Get each new property live in under a week, and keep its team confident.

What you will do

  • Map a property’s services, menus and prices into SOMA
  • Train front desk, spa and kitchen teams on the morning brief
  • Be the first call when something needs adjusting
  • Spend real time on site with founding properties

You might be

  • From hotel operations, pre-opening or guest services
  • Calm, organised and good at training people
  • Happy to travel, especially within Greece
